Ban the Phone Book!

    For those of you frustrated by having phone books dumped on your doorstep, you can sign a petition for a national opt-in program (opt-in means the default is you don't get one unless you ask for it, as opposed to the supposedly "opt-out" system that doesn't seem to work too well now):

    Yeah, this gets on my nerves. What makes them think that we need one every 3 months or so. Besides most people don't even use those anymore, the internet has pretty much took over this department.

    MQ, the point of the petition is that it should be OPT IN, not OPT OUT. Plenty of folks have found opting out ineffective, as they are often delivered regardless. That's why the petition for an opt-in system.
