Code orange for Fat Tuesday !!!!!!
(chocolate on choclate and custard, both)
If that is a bit much for ya' (it is for me), try the dark chocolate beggars or the salt caramels.
Celebrate Fat Tuesday, or celebrate 59 degrees outside?!?!

Just for the record,
I realize I mutilated the spelling of these traditional Polish pastries. I have no idea why I though there was an "n" in there.
Regardless, someone should go out and eat them tomorrow.
oh Paczkis!!! I have wonderful memories of making them with my Grandma Betczynski in Chicago!
Didn't know Bakery N made them. :-)
Well, if I have made one person happy MargL, then it has all been worth it. ;).
So, tell me, how is it pronounced phonetically?
Grandma Ski (and thus the Family) always said "poonch-kee"
Last year Metropolitan Market (now a WSB sponsor) had a big hoo-hah about Paczkis (advising the same pronunciation MargL counsels).

If they're doing it again this year, we haven't heard a peep. Although Metro Market-Admiral IS planning a harpist for Valentine's Day, 1-3 pm ...
Paczki update - Metro Market IS doing a big fun deal on Fat Tuesday morning like they did last year. Just heard from the store manager. Details to come.
