    Had an awesome turkey-free prix fixe dinner at Cafe Flora yesterday, after watching an equally awesome PBS/Nature special called "My Life as a Turkey" on Thanksgiving Eve.

    i ate turkey.
    i am not proud of myself.. but there you go...
    where i got it i am pretty sure it was a lovingly raised on a small farm...
    but i confess..
    i would have eaten it even if it hadn't been.

    for me thanksgiving isn't thanksgiving without turkey...

    for some reason the Christmas ham doesn't have the same appeal..
    for Christmas i am as likely to go out for Chinese as not...

    go figure.

    Chinese food on Christmas is an old Jewish tradition, and Chinese restaurants (including Bamboo Garden, which is vegetarian AND kosher) do a booming business on Christmas Day.
