Awesome nanny available for infants, preschoolers

  1. I've seen several requests for infant and toddler care on the forums. Our former nanny (and now friend) Maria is amazing. She is responsible, experienced, and loves kids. We were completely happy with her when she worked with our daughter.

She has nine years' experience caring for infants and preschoolers in the greater Seattle area, she is American Red Cross first aid and infant/child CPR trained, college educated and bilingual (Spanish and English).

Right now she is available Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. She's looking for work in West Seattle. Her number is (253) 217-3287.

I highly recommend her! I'm happy to answer any questions about her.

How much does she charge? I would be looking for Monday and Tuesday between 8 and 9 hours a day.

  3. Her base rate is $15 per hour, but she may charge a bit more or less depending on how many children she will be caring for, how old they are (infant vs. toddler, e.g.), whether they're in diapers, etc. She negotiates the rate with the client once she's met the family and spoken with them about what they need.

Do you have any idea if she's willing to do just a few hours a couple of times a week?

  6. I specialize in infant/toddler on-call child care, tons of experience and reference letters; 4 hr min nights, 8 hr min days, $15/hr; but have not posted on here because it’s considered advertising and not allowed; so if you are a family seeking this type of child care, please list your email or phone so potential nannies/babysitters can contact you; I post pretty regular on Craig’s list child care section because I only do on-call and temp jobs; many people find my ad by running a CL search under child care for on-call West Seattle; lately been very busy working double shifts among several families; last night I did a very last minute babysitting job in downtown hotel suite for a WS family that I babysat for last month in their home near the junction; but it’s feast or famine; my schedule may be totally open again in couple days; most of my day shifts are for families on daycare wait list, daycare shut down/vacation, nanny vacation, various other emergency situations; and lots of date nights

in addition to my long term clients, I’ve connected with many new families in past few months via craigs list child care section and referrals; also worked for a few families from wsblog who posted a need for emergency child care; very grateful for all

until this year, I’ve done child care all over Seattle and Eastside, but when gas prices got ridiculous, started limiting my commutes to West Seattle or within ~ 5 miles; it’s been wonderful meeting more WS neighbors and their babies
