Any reasonable reccomendations for ws auto repair to replace timing belt? Kiet's on Roxbury and West Seattle Autoworks on 35th have given the best estimates but have no experience with either.

  2. Dere Automotive at 35th and Barton. They are honest and reasonably priced.

We love Harrah's Automotive. Family run, good prices and they do a great job. They are located next to Blockbuster on California in the same building as the new sewing/cloth shop.

  5. I second Dere Auto. We've been customers for years and have always been very happy. Lee even told us when it was time to get rid of our old junkers (which he was making money repairing) and get a new car. We had to use the dealer while it was under warranty, but went right back to Dere when it was up!

  6. I recommend John M. Frank, Alki Auto, 2504 Alki Ave SW, 935-8059. He's a good guy, honest and will take care of you.

I recommend Doyle's Automotive. Always honest, helpful, thorough. Not the least expensive, but you know you will be fairly treated and the work is guaranteed. Great customer service. Going to them for 15 years now. I had a '92 Honda that they nursed for many years - ran great.

We third the recommendation for Dere Automotive. We've been customers for years, and have always been very happy there - honest, fast, and great customer service. Yesterday we took our car in because of a what we perceived was a problem. They looked it over, called us, and said that everything was fine. Then when we went to pick the car up, they charged us NOTHING for all the time they spend trying to figure things out. We love the guys that work there - Lee is a real gem - Five stars PLUS!!

Thanks for the feedback. My car is a 95 so was trying not to throw $ away fixing it.

  12. Get a estimate from Ty's Auto repair on Delridge.
Very, very fair prices. Been going there for 14 years, many friends and family too.
