Any recommendations? I need to get several things done on my car (brakes, timing belt, several kinds of fluids)and I'm new to the area. I would prefer to stay away from most of the big chains because I also feel like they are trying to cross-sell me on something I don't really need. I would certainly appreciate any thoughts.

The above are all good and are $$-$$$.
I've found the best service at a very fair price at Ty's Auto on Delridge. My sister just saved over 65% on dealer price for her 60,000 mile.
Been going there for over 10 years. Ty's is in the $-$$ range. Good luck!

I have used Westside Import Repair 3606 SW Alaska St. 937-0200 my neighbor Gary owns it and he has a wonderful man named Carl who works for them. Fair and honest.
Celeste...I've heard really, really good things about them from other people. And have heard that they are more than fair in their prices.
