miwsParticipantSmitty, have you e-mailed TR, to have this posted in the Lost/Found Pets? I’m pretty sure that “Spotted, but not Captured” pets are included there too.

miwsParticipantCool.
I figured you might want to hop on over to your e-m account and do that, if you hadn’t done so already.

hammerheadParticipantsmitty, rabbits are very hard to get, even trapping them. Since native bunnies are brown and small, black and white bunnies are a pet. Even worse pet bunnies do NOT do well in this weather.
If you should get it cornered and need help, call me 206-427-6454. I can get it. Also people do not generally microchip their bunnies. I hope it was not just dumped.

SmittyParticipantThanks. I read that the poor things can have a heart attack trying to evade capture. We had a blanket thinking one of us could distract it while the other trapped it gently. I think we need to bribe it with some grub……
The other thing that worries me is that area is pretty busy now with the Christmas light show nearby. Please drive slow!

hammerheadParticipantActually that doesn’t work with bunnies very well. They are not like cats or dogs that way.
Plus do NOT grab unless you do it just right, the back feet can tear you up.
You can use a trap but have to hide really well in/bury it in bushes.
ok got another suggestion if you want to go the trap route. using another bunnies poop(I know some one with a bunny)
I have a drop trap but is really heavy. Yes using a stick holding a box up works.
FYI. Seattle animal control IS CLOSED right now, so you need to have back up plan if you should get the bunny.
My friend who is bunny rescuer is giving me advise and passing along to you.
