I am currently a student that is home for the summer and is looking for someone that can teach/discuss the theory of quantum mechanics with me. I will buy coffee.
Well, I love the topic but I’m another learner with just enough understanding to be dangerous. Would be happy to split the coffee if you find a teacher and I’m available, though!
I’ve always planned to read all of Feynman’s lectures on physics. Feynman was fond of saying that all of quantum mechanics can be gleaned from carefully thinking through the implications of this single (the double slit) experiment.
It’s been way too long ago for me to even think about having a meaningful discussion on the topic, but if you’re looking for resources, my alma mater has done a really great job of getting their courses available online. The physics subsection is here: http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/physics/ Enjoy! (and try not to get your mind blown…don’t worry about the cat, trust me)
