JeannieParticipantThe reviews have been favorable, with just a few complaints about pizzas not having quite enough sauce. Have you been? My favorite pizzeria in West Seattle is Pizzeria 22, so how does Peel & Press compare?

squareeyesParticipantI haven’t tried the pizza at P&P but the pasta seems unchanged from the previous owners. I chatted with the new owner who said he’s using higher quality ingredients but that the kitchen staff and the pizza dough recipe is the same as before. The atmosphere and decor are greatly improved.
22 is my favorite as well but I also love the vastly different pizza at its sister Quadrato.

JoBParticipanti personally love different styles of Pizza..
i have even been known to happily consume a Hawaiian..
but if one is expecting Pizzeria 22..
one will be disappointed with Press and Peel…
that said.. if one wants pasta.. it can’t be found at Pizzeria 22 :(

Michael WaldoParticipantWorst name ever. I haven’t been there because when I ask my wife if she wants to go out to dinner, the name never enters my mind.

JoBParticipantdon’t let the name put you off
if you are into cozy neighborhood trattorias this one won’t disappoint.

HelperMonkeyParticipantwe gave them a second try after the game on Saturday – stopped in for a pizza to go and a drink while we waited. The drink was great – the bartender really knows his way around an Old Fashioned. The pizza was delicious – the crust is nice and the toppings were great. We built our own pizza because I wasn’t super impressed with their house pie offerings. While sitting at the bar one of the regulars shared her “pizza roll ups” with us (I can’t remember what they were actually called but they were amazing) Would definitely go back for the pizza…was not a fan of the pasta when we went previously. Definitely a good option for pizza though!

addParticipantWe were sad to see Abbondanza go, but have really enjoyed our visits to Peel & Press. I think we’ve been there 3-4 times – take-out as well as dine-in – and have tried their pizzas and pastas. We’re from the NYC area so are kinda particular about our pizza and they do a good one! We really like the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. And yes, the cocktails are GOOD! Haven’t tried happy hour yet but do plan to soon.
