Anybody have experience with Eden Pest Control?

  1. Hello All,

I am wondering if anyone has used Eden Pest Control before? I just had them come by and do an estimate for treatments to get rid of my ants. Well they seem to have found a few other critters that I am less inclined to share my space with (rats in the crawlspace). So now it looks like I will need to shell out a little more money that I had expected. So am just wondering if anyone else has experience with the company and if I am putting my money to good use by using them.
Also if anyone has recommendations for other Pest Control services that would nice as well. I feel like maybe I should get more than one estimate.
    Thanks for the input!

  2. We used Adept Pest last year for a rat problem, and were very happy with the results.

John was thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly, and he didn't use chemicals. I would definitely call him again, should I ever need to.

I'm a HUGE fan of AAA Pest Control over in Kent. They were GREAT about helping us diagnose what we thought were bug bites on our kid 9turned out to be an allergy even though the doc said there were bug bites). They've given us solid advice on yellow jackets and wasps, and the owner has an aquarium of hissing cockroaches at his shop - great entertainment!

I'll never deal with Terminix again.

Luckie, you mean he didn't use poison? How did he get rid of them?

Luckie - I have issues with killing rats. Does he trap and release?

  6. He used snap traps. Unfortunately, that means the rats became ex-rats. Fortunately, it's quick and nonpoisonous, and he comes back several times to deal with the ex-rats so you don't have to.

In the meantime, he worked on exclusion, which means he goes over the entire outside of your house and finds the places the rats entered. He covers those holes so that any rats who went out foraging can't get back in. Our rat problem was isolated in the attic, and after traps/exclusion, we caught two. However, I think there were more than that at one time, because it's pretty disgusting up there in the insulation. The next step is to get all that vacuumed out and replaced.

I want to let everyone know about the superb experience I had with John from Adept Pest Solutions (http://adeptpest.com/).

John was very knowledgable, easy to work with, thorough, and provided a great price.

He did an excellent job and I highly recommend him to all.

    Hope this helps,

    Andrew

Unfortunately, Luckie? To me an ex-rat is a very good thing.

Anyway to answer the OP's question: we used Eden when we had a rat problem and they did a really good job. They gave us a pretty thorough education on how to avoid the problem in the future too.

We also have them come by every quarter to inspect and re-bait the traps. Totally worth it, imo as I never, ever want to have a rat in my house again.

    Die, rats, die!

  9. Rave for John at Adept Pest Control. We had rats in the crawlspace and they did a very thorough job of excluding all the holes and places the rats could get in - and trapping and removing all the critters that had taken up residence.
Also we're getting ready to sell the house and he's extending the exclusion guarantee to the new owners if they hear scrabbling and gnawing after the sale closes. Great guy!
