   Hubby & I are looking to move as soon as May 1st, I have been driving all over West Seattle trying to find a good place.

   Here are our needs:
   -dishwasher
   -washer/dryer (but not a deal breaker)
   -I have an adult male cat who is fixed & well behaved (indoor only)
   -not super old (nice counter tops, appliances, etc. but nothing too fancy)
   -plumbing & electrical that isn't ancient... (done or updated within last 14 years years is preferred)
   -WSG included in rent (VERY IMPORTANT)
   -No basements please...

   I hope that isn't too much to ask, we just want a decent place at a decent price, I know WS can be spendy, but we loooove it here & don't want to move to Burien (ew). We can afford under $900 right now.

   Good luck... it wasn't impossible five years ago when I first moved to WS from elsewhere in Seattle, but rent has definitely increased, especially for 2-bd. units. My 2 bd./1.75 ba. place is $1400/month. But there are always exceptions; I'm crossing my fingers for you.

   we have seen a couple places that are OK but there are always some small details that make us say no (old old OLD electrical or plumbing, other things that may make one wonder how on earth the unit can be up to code...). $1400 just isn't possible for us, maybe in the next year but not now, and we reeeeeally need to get out of the situation we are in (stuck with 2 roomies, it's cheap but I have some issues with the way they live). Yes, please keep your fingers crossed :-)

   PS- your avatar is neat! I used to love those books as a kid!! :-)
