Alki police presence tonight?

    Anyone know what happened at the Bamboo tonight? We rollerbladed by around 8:45 and there were 4 police cars surrounding the place.

    Probably difficult to call/text while rollerblading but I have to put in my usual pitch: Anyone who possibly can, please contact us WHEN you see something happening. It is much easier for us to find out in person, on the scene, what's going on, than to try to chase it down later, especially outside business hours. We roll to breaking news 24/7 but we logistically cannot listen to the scanner 24/7 so telephone tips or texts "hey, what's up at ..." are very much appreciated.

    That said - this is the only thing I've heard about something on Alki, but I will see if my lone overnight contact happens to be on tonight.
