Advice please: childcare needed

  1. My parents have been watching my son one day a week but need to stop in April so we have begun the childcare search. It's daunting! We are looking for a place that can watch him 1 day/week at 17 months old and 2 days a week sometime down the road. I've called a lot of places and many are either full, have full-time only schedules or cost more than I make. Any suggestions for quality childcare centers or in-home daycares?

I'm looking too, newmom! I feel your pain. We have a baby due in April, and will need care starting in August. It's made slightly more complicated by the fact that we are house hunting & not sure where in West Seattle we'll be living, and that my husband's schedule changes every three months. I'm lucky if I can even get providers to return my calls/emails.

    Any recommendations, forum friends?

    Hello!
My name is Meghan and I have a drop in childcare business in my home in the Admiral district. I have 14 years of childcare experience and excellent references. I started my business to help out parents just like you. People who need part time childcare for work, errands, dr appts or just time for themselves!

If you would like to come visit or have any more questions let me know.

    Have a great weekend.
