I am hoping that Cafe Rozella might host something. But I would be cool with Skylark too.

  4. I will be posting probably tomorrow or Tuesday on the home page to fish for any more parties, in addition to sending a direct inquiry to the 34th District Democrats. But if anyone posts here before then, would love to add it to the list. We plan to report live from Skylark for at least part of the night, so if you want to tell us and the WS world what you think of how it's going (in the early going too, since by 6 pm we'll have a lot of East Coast results), be there - TR

  5. And I just found this on the 34th DD's website:
White Center election night party at Big Al's Brewing (with ice cream by Full Tilt) - it's a potluck so bring your own food (Big Al's isn't a restaurant) ... we'll be adding to the calendar and posting on White Center Now shortly, read more here:

The major Dems party will be at the Westin Hotel in Seattle. Not sure on the R location. Also have heard of events at the War Room on Capitol Hill and at Showbox.

    Posted 3 years ago #
  7. Seattle Channel just announced a party too.

And I received clarification that while I found the listing for the White Center party on the 34 D's page, it's NONPARTISAN -- so all are welcome. The 34 DDs are just among those helping get out the word.

I'm likely putting this on the home page within the hour, so hopefully if anything more is scheduled out there, we'll smoke it out :)

Maybe we should just plan our own party somewhere. God knows we will all be ready to celebrate.

The town hall event sounds interesting, but, just out of curiosity, who is the left in their list? :-)

I've been trying to leave #7 alone, but if it is a prerequisite that attendees be either a 34D or 34DD, I'm afraid I cannot go...sorry, TR, completely sophomoric, but it's been making me giggle all night ;)

I'm just impressed that the 34D's have their own web page...must be a SUPPORT group...okay, I'm done with the boob humor. Power to the peoples!

*and full disclosure, I have been of the D persuasion my entire life, so I have earned the boob humor - no offense intended to anyone else

  18. Hey! Read the Talericos thread and... what if we meet there? I'd guess the returns on their big tvs could be fun... no idea what their leanings are but does it really matter? In this world we need to come together.

    WARNING: Disgusting post.

All I want to do is get completely tanked and wake up in the gutter somewhere in a pool of my own vomit and crawl home to discover that the nightmare has ended. Maybe a flower will emerge, as if by an act of God, on the way home, from a crack in the sidewalk... If anyone would like to join me for this "party" you are more than welcome. Just bring yourself and your brown paper bag to the Junction on election night.

  23. Ellenator - AMEN! Only I'm pretty sure I want to commence the drinking NOW. I've got a good buzz still going from last night, I think and I just want to be blacked out until this is over. I don't care if I end up naked in the fetal position on November 5th as long as I don't have to be conscious until the polls close.

    Cait,

lmao. We'll just get our Thunderbird and hang out by a TV store and then pass out, waking up in the fetal, etc.

    :)

  25. ellenater and cait, don't be rash. Thunderbird will actually turn your tongue black....

    Posted 3 years ago #
  31. Well I'm not real keen on clowns to begin with(only exception is JP Patches). Dr. Rockso seems wrong on several different fronts. Thanks for the warning of a video.

  32. The West Seattle Shakers list (think movers 'n' shakers more than the oldschool religious denomination) just yielded a post about Mission having a sign up about an Election Night party. Am going to check it out tomorrow, nothing on their website ...

  34. a little about Dr. Rockzo - he's a character on Metalocolypse ;) please note, this is not a cartoon for children....

"Dr. Rockzo is the "rock 'n' roll clown" , he does cocaine, announcing this fact loudly and frequently. Dr. Rockzo admits that not only does he use cocaine, but also huffs paint, uses crystal meth, heroin, pain pills, and Oxycontin before finally admitting "I do it all." Dr. Rockzo's real name is Leonard Rockstein, the trouble-making son of a physical therapist who became lead singer of Zazz Blammymatazz, a partying rock band named after the guitarist. They quickly became famous; however, Rockzo insisted on being paid in cocaine. His habit made him increasingly paranoid, and he was eventually fired from the group. After a short-lived solo career, he began his present life as a rock n' roll clown for hire. He was once briefly the star in a reality show, before stealing over 1,000 pounds of cocaine from a police storage facility and going into hiding. One of Dr. Rockzo's talents is constructing elaborate and large balloons in a matter of seconds."
