That is the precent of 4th graders in 2008-09 that PASSED the WASL in math.

Let me put that another way. Out of 35 4th grade students, that means only 2 whole children could demonstrate basic math skills.
I have always taken WASL scores with a big grain of salt. But a barrel of salt doesn't accommodate this figure.
And 6.5% is down from the pathetic 13.9% from the year before. That's 4 (possibly 5) kids out of the entire class.
HOW can Seattle tell me that I am required to send my child to this school. The schools need to be improved but not on the backs of, and not at the expense of our children's brains.
Someone, please... tell me I am wrong. Convince me I am being irrational...
