  1. Yep, the Bamboo Bar and Grill has done it again. They are offering an insane $25 for $50 deal on Crumblrr.com, better hurry though, only a couple of days left:

  2. That is way more than the deep-fried, uniteresting food is worth.

  3. And I have a hard time understanding why this company is allowed to post advertisements on a regular basis (15 posts, at the current count) without having to pay for advertising.

Then again, I suppose the new Forum/Classifieds system that WSB is working on will probably help solve this problem.

  4. FYI, they were a recent sponsor, so they actually have paid to advertise on WSB. Nonetheless, no aspect of the forums has ever been included in any advertising packages, so sponsors have no different rules from anyone else. BUT the rules about who can post a deal have been murky, and businesses or their representatives are NOT prohibited from posting bonafide deals themselves, which this falls under.

Under the classified system (which we are attempting to launch on or by April 1st), it'll be limited to the businesses themselves and readers, NOT third-party reps like coupon or PR companies. Thanks.

Yep, that said (50% would qualify in this case for Freebies, Deals, Sales, Trades, Barters), 9 out of 10 threads started by this OP are thinly veiled pieces of advertising; no deals at all and clearly walking the line for taking advantage of "free" advertising. "Oh, are the Christmas Ships coming to Alki?" pfft, give me a break.

Owners/management take note: you could not PAY me, even with rave reviews, to eat at your establishment because I find your web management (er, marketing?) company annoying as h*ll. Might want to rethink your strategy.
