hopefully pix will be up in the pet section soon, but just wanted to get it out there that I found a very super friendly but hungry kitty last night. I think it's a girl. Tabby tiger kitty, hungry, probably lost for a few days now, but still in good shape. Definately seems like kitty has a family somewhere. She must be missed. Shorewood/AH/WC/Burien area.
Will be taking her for chip check tonight.
is she yours? andreag at fhcrc dot org

Kitty was found at 116th sw and 23rd sw kind of right between all those places and I know sometimes they wander far. She is just a lover, and I hope I find her home!

  5. Please, listen very carefully!!!. I don't know if this area is deemed Seattle animal control area, or King county animal control, or "burien animal control".

God willing she is microchipped and all this info I am about to give can be ignored.

You need to find that out first. If this is at ALL in the city of Burien (shorewood gets a little confusing)you will NOT be able to take it there, as they do NOT take cats. Not to mention there is NO shelter.

She looks thin, hopefully she is fixed, but as you said she was hungry.

If you need any more help contact FCAT 206-427-6454

    Thanks Pamela!
I wouldn't take her to animal control or call them. I'm going to write down your number and have it with me this weekend. I hope she's chipped. poor baby is loney in the basement.

  7. There is NOTHING wrong with Seattle animal control OR king county animal control.

If you can't find the owner, and it looks like you can't keep her, if she is down in the basement.

Most rescues are still pretty full, so if she came from ones of the areas that those 2 shelters manager take her there, She will NOT be killed.

It is hard to explain, but lets just hope she came from an area that the 2 shelters manage and not the burien area, then you really will NOT have any place to take her.

no chip in the kitty :( they think she is about 2 years old. Took her to South Seattle Vet Clinic on first to check. Also put up a flyer for her there, and one on my mailbox. Will put up more tomorrow. Also, I will be working at Luna Park Cafe tomorrow 9-3 so if someone sees this, and you need to get hold of me, the number there is 206 935-7250

just realized she is de-clawed also. So glad I grabbed her last night, right after seeing the racoons on my deck.

  10. Chance are very likely she was dumped. How long are you willing to "sit" on her?

Pamela, I can keep her for a while. Probably take her back to the vet tomorrow after work for some blood work and to tesst for the Fel lukemia or Hiv . the basement is okay, it's relatively warm, and she has bed, food, water, toys, cat box, and I turned the heat on for her. :) Just gave her lots of petting too. she likes to make biscuits! hahahahaha Also, talked to my friend that works at a vet clinic, so she will come over on Sunday and we'll talk about what to do with the kitty if we don't find the owners. I may become more of the crazy cat lady than I was before...

  12. do NOT bother with felv/fiv that is a waste of money since she already been "mutilated" that kind of stuff was done. not to mention pretty uncommon.

I work with All the Best Pet stores and they may have space open in less than a week. so that is a good option. Please do NOT get any vaccines either. Just put advantage on her.

  15. sweetpea0821, I have been trying to contact you. I have a rescue that can take her. Can you please let me know if you need to find her a new home. I worked very hard on this, and Nancy is holding a space for her at one of the All the Best Pet care stores.
