1/18 "snowmageddon" - should my mom take train to seattle or tukwila - traffic

    I'm new here and haven't experienced a Seattle snow storm traffic disaster. I know in Portland traffic was RIDICULOUS in the snow.

    My mom is arriving from OR on amtrak today at either Tukwila at 3:15 or Seattle at 3:45. Which station should she get off at? I live in West Seattle. I'd imagine that getting to West Seattle from downtown Seattle at 4pm will be totally insane today. Is that a good assumption? Should I have her get off at Tukwila?

    You can take 509 north coming home, then Olson Place (South park exit) instead of battling the hills of 35th.
    I always take the backway through White Center when it snows, less hills and traffic if you can make the grade at Olson Place.
    Takes me right to Arbor Heights.
