TheKenneyMemberThe Kenney is a not-for-profit, faith-based Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in West Seattle that has been serving seniors since 1901. This position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the marketing function. This includes development and implementation of a church relations and outreach plan and maintaining high occupancy, a viable future resident list and assuring that occupancy goals are met.
This position develops strategies and implementation tactics for community outreach and church relations. Strategies will include outreach to ethnically diverse organizations and churches. Implements community outreach and church relations strategies to support the overall marketing efforts of the campus. Follows up on inquiries, leading them toward application and residency. This includes conducting tours, telephone calls, letters and group information sessions both on and off site. Fulfills written expectations for sales activity. Understands, communicates and interprets residency agreements.
The majority of time is spent in an office setting. Mobility is necessary in order to move about the campus. This position requires the physical ability to use the telephone, computer, copy machine and other related office equipment. Requires occasional lifting of lightweight materials. Must be able to effectively use computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Must have a current Washington State driver’s license and a good driving record. This is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year advanced education; a college degree preferred. In addition, two (2) years experience in marketing, sales or long-term care environment or a combination of such experience is required. Knowledge of marketing concepts with senior adults and an understanding of retirement community lifestyle are necessary. Preference will be given to those candidates with industry experience.
