JenV is smart! If the party at fault defaults on her promise to pay (for whatever reason) your insurance company would be much better equipped to go after the payment.
I would suggest getting an estimate from Malo's in White Center. They're at 9827 17th Ave SW

JenV, that is a good point. I didn't think about looking into my UM protection. I will ask my insurance about that. I am trying to avoid having this on my record, but this may be the best choice for now. I will also look into Burien Collision. Thank you!

I am assuming you're not wanting to use your own UM coverage, since she doesn't have coverage? That way your insurance company could pay for the repairs properly, and then they would seek reimbursement from her. They would likely be willing to work out a payment plan with her, and that way she's not out of pocket the whole amount right away. Your deductible would be $100 for this, which I am also assuming she would pick up. This might be the best way to handle it, since sometimes costs have a way of going up once the vehicle is torn down.

Barring all that, I had good experiences with Burien Collision when I worked in insurance. They seemed fair and honest, and the costs were not appreciably different from other shops I dealt with.

I was involved in a car accident last week and the person at fault just found out her insurance is not going to cover my damage because she was on a rented moped. She now has to pay for the repairs out of pocket, so I am looking to try and find a good auto body shop with reasonable pricing in WS. I feel bad that she has to cover this on her own and would like to keep the costs down while still getting good service for my car. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
