Jab...I don't see steak, seafood, chicken, veggies, fruit, TP, etc, etc on that site...there is no comparison. Amazon Fresh has sooo much more than this site has to offer. We use it for groceries...let me know when your site is doing that, and I'll reconsider :)

Looks like a little self promotion there, jab, considering your personal page link is also to the site you recommended.

And a friendly reminder that "huge ass Amazon" employs a large number of Seattlites.

http://www.i-booze.com delivers to West Seattle with only a $2 delivery fee, and it's right away. I'd much rather support them as a local startup then huge ass Amazon anyway.

economics being what they are, I can understand why they're doing this. Gas prices are going up again, and while free was nice, 5 bucks seems just fine with me. I shop for little ol' me...never gonna hit that 400 buck mark, I'm afraid...

Yeah, I was a little disappointed by these changes, but I also understand that it's just not responsible to place an order for $30 worth of products that they have to make a special trip to West Seattle to deliver. I always felt guilty with those smaller orders and would "piggyback" on someone else's delivery time (noted by the truck icon in the schedule) so I didn't feel so bad. And really, a $5 fee isn't horrible; it's much better than Safeway.com.
The "Big Radish" status does bother me, though, because $400 is our entire monthly grocery budget (just me and my husband). Now, we often exceed that budget, but I still don't think I'll spend that much each month there. I try to buy what I can from the Farmers' Market, and as Summer rolls around I can easily spend half my grocery budget there.

Edited to add: Don't get me wrong, the "Big Radish" is probably an excellent strategy for them, and it will probably encourage families to use AF more frequently, which is obviously what they're going for. It just sucks for me. :-)

Not sure what's up with that. When I placed my most recent delivery (about a fortnight ago) I wasn't eligible for free delivery unless my order was over $50. I think a $50 order warrants free delivery, not $75? Also, "Big Radish" status for spending over $400 a month? I'm not sure I know too many people who'll be doing that.

Just got an email from Amazon Fresh with some changes to their delivery charges:
----------------
Greetings from AmazonFresh!

Over the last several months we've been testing different service options in different neighborhoods. In your neighborhood, orders over
$30 have free delivery; however, effective Friday, May 29, the service will work like this:

* Orders over $75 - FREE DELIVERY

* Orders $30 - $74.99 - $5 delivery fee

* Orders over $30 - FREE DELIVERY with Big Radish status

With the Big Radish program, any customer can get free delivery on orders over $30. To earn Big Radish status, spend $400 per month and
you will receive Big Radish status for the following calendar month. To know if you qualify in a given month, check the Big Radish status
indicator on the upper right corner of the AmazonFresh Web site.
(Note: the indicator will only be visible to you starting May 29.)

We hope you're enjoying AmazonFresh and we look forward to serving you soon.

Thank you for your patronage,
