Looking for someone with experience with wood-gluing and clamping furniture. You don't have to be a professional -- just have personal experience.

I am looking for someone to haul away yard debris. These are limbs cut from old overgrown hedges and shrubs--not tree trunks. I have a large pile so far and there will be more, but I need to move out what I have accumulated. I want someone reliable and responsible so that I can be sure they are disposed of properly. I would imagine this is at least two pickup trucks or maybe one of those trucks with plywood sides.

Can someone tell me what I should expect to pay for this? I will be able to help load the branches. Please suggest someone that you have used more than once and would use again. Thanks, ~z

Any other suggestions, folks? We were hoping to find someone along the lines of an individual worker-guy or gal who has experience with this kind of thing, as opposed to a design firm. This is a small project and will not require that sort of horsepower. Thanks!

We are hoping to find someone local to prep and lay a *small* stone pathway in an existing garden bed in our front yard. The 'stones' are basically large sandstone chunks recycled from a decorative retaining wall that was taken down. They vary in thickness but are uniformly flat on their backside.

The dirt beneath the stones will obviously need to be leveled out (and a suitable base of sand and/or gravel will need to be laid down).

The ‘path’ itself would be approximately 2.5’ wide and 11’ or so long. The total area impacted is not large -- basically 40 s.f. -- and the project should be easily completed within a day.

If you are interested, please send along questions, thoughts, ideas, concerns, etc. to elizaclaude@gmail.com

I can send photos of the area, too.

I have very specific needs -- a lone worker for instance rather than a group/crew. I am seeking someone every other week (maybe weekly if I am comfortable). Must be bonded and insured and is not rushing in and out (takes care of the house - versus wall dings and broken items). My perfect housekeeper, who moved out of state, cleaned and straightened up, did the laundry etc in a 4 hour period. Periodically she cleaned the fridge and interior windows. I dont need every room "deep cleaned" every week, but want the entire house straightened, vacuumed, and the kitchen and baths cleaned every week.

Stella Ruffington’s is West Seattle’s kennel free boarding, doggy playcare and grooming destination and we are looking for a new staff member.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervising the playcare and boarding dogs. Feeding the dogs, lots of indoor and outdoor cleaning and some maintenance chores are required. Some interaction with clients, answering phones, and paperwork is also involved. Caring for dogs is a very rewarding and exciting job, however it does involve far more than just “hanging out with the puppies”. You should be able to deal with jumping, barking, more jumping, a little dirty, and sometimes a lot of wet dogs. Poo explosions, flying fur and ringing phones should not faze you either. It is very physical work, requiring the ability to multi-task as well as possesses the patience of a Saint, however it’s also lots of fun.

If you are responsible, honest, prompt, and able to work independently then send a cover letter explaining why you would like to work with dogs and/or your resume sruffington@gmail.com. Please, no phone calls or drop in visits as we are working with the dogs or taking client calls.

Previous experience is preferred, but that is not a deal breaker. Good customer service skills are however.

My husband and I are looking for a babysitter for my 10 year old step daughter. We will need a sitter at the very least once a month, the first Wednesday of every month. We leave around her bed time so she will be sleeping most of the time that we are gone. We will most likely need a sitter at other times too. Please email fetchwest@gmail.com for more information.

I work from home 10-20 hours per week and am looking for someone (or a few people I can call on) to look after my 6 month old daughter while I work. I'd be home the whole time and available for just about anything, and I will feed her too. I have a mellow job, I just need to be able to focus so I can get work out of the way for the day so I can just hang out with the kiddo afterwards.

My schedule is kind of weird right now, as in, totally unreliable work. But I should have more steady work starting in a month or so.

Adeline, my daughter, is a super awesome, mellow, sweet baby. She's easy. She just needs someone to play, interact, read books, change diapers. She is pretty much always in a good mood.

She'll probably end up napping through half of my work day, so I'm hoping to find someone who's willing to do some light house cleaning as well when/if she's napping.

Typically, I work no more than 4 hours in a day. I usually have at least a few days notice on my schedule, occasionally I need someone the next day. I never know. With my upcoming projects (I do fundraising database/events consulting) I should have a pretty steady ongoing schedule. But there will be additional projects to add to that as well. A typical work week for me is 3 days (flexible) from around 9am to 1pm. Sometimes I get a crazy deadline and work 40 hours (NOT often). Sometimes I have a week or two with nothing going on and no need for a sitter, and sometimes I travel and take my daughter with me (so, no need for a sitter). My mom usually goes on my work trips with me to watch Addie, but there may be the occasional offer to accompany us on a work trip. (And by 'offer' I mean that you shouldn't feel obligated, asking for travel is a big deal!)

Also, I'd like to go to a yoga class or 2 during the week, so there could be a couple hours home alone with Adeline while I do that. And maybe the occasional date night with my husband (imagine that!).

If I could find one super flexible person to be my go-to, that would be awesome. But I'm also OK with a roster of a few people to call on. Please let me know if you're interested. Pay is $11-13/hr. + free coffee and tea while you're here! (my husband works in specialty coffee)

Newly forming Complementary Health Clinic on Vashon has space available for practitioners interested in having a part or full-time practice on the island. Currently we offer acupuncture, massage, and Feldenkrais. More LMPs are welcome, and we would also love to find a practitioner of Ayurvedic medicine, a Hellerworker, a nutritionist/dietitian, or someone who practices Shiatsu or Craniosacral Therapy. Treatment rooms are large, there are no stairs, and location is very central and highly visible. Really nice space!

We need a nanny to come in the morning (monday -Friday) to help our 6 and 8 year olds finish breakfast and get to school. Some days they may walk to the bus stop and other days they may need a ride to school.

Great job for a student with a little extra time in the mornings or someone with another job that starts later! Extra hours possible if interested. Contact sarahhoff44@gmail.com for more information.
