Hi

I have 2 wedding dresses that I need to sell..although I don't want to :-)

The first dress was worn once and is a gorgeous maggie sottero, It is strapless, corset lace up back, trumpet style with beading and crystal's on the bodice and a train. It is for a more petite (size 0-6) lady although with the corset it can fit a range of sizes...

The second dress is brand new, never even been tried on, (I ordered it and then decided to elope and bought a short cocktail dress instead) it is a gorgeous strapless dress with fitted bodice (natural waist) and a fun/ funky skirt and train this is a size 6, zip up dress.

I am open to negotiations on prices as well, (I tried to get the pictures on this but for some reason I wasnt successful, so I will gladly send pictures of the dresses to interested parties!

PLEASE RESPOND TO melissadillehay@yahoo.com
for I do not check the blog very often for responses!

Rusty is 7yrs old, purebred Chihuahua with papers. Poncho is 5yrs, his dad was a purebred Chi and mom was a Chi mix, with we're pretty sure a little Welsh Corgi - based on his build and coloring.

They love playing, sleeping and snuggling together!

They're both neutered, chipped and have had all their shots. They are crate trained (they have their own, but prefer sleeping together in the larger one), and potty trained. They love walks and running around inside and out when they have energy, and both are awesome snuggly lapdogs. The act of pulling out a blanket is usually enough to get them to dive in and snuggle up for the evening.

My husband and I are moving out of the country and are unable to bring these little guys with us. We want to find them a home where they’ll be just as adored and taken care of as they are here.

I have pictures i can email.
Please contact us if interested

OFFER: leftover paint - West Seattle (Arbor Heights) Near intersection of OFFER: 35th & Roxbury

When we moved into our house, the previous owners lefts a closet full of leftover paints. I'd really like the storage space, so they've got to go.

Each are in gallon buckets, and are about 1/2 full (some more, some less). Good brands, like Behr and Ralph Lauren. Colors include white, tan, barn red, moss green, and several of a vibrant sky blue (kinda lavendar-ish).

The would be great for arts and crafts, furniture, chicken coops, kid's rooms, etc. I don't know what finish they are (i.e. satin, gloss, semi-gloss).

We have been leasing a beautiful 2 bedroom condo on Alki point for the past year and unfortunately the unit is going back to the bank and we are forced to search for another unit. We are looking for a one (1) year lease on a condo that is waterfront on either Alki Avenue or Harbor Avenue in a secure complex. Would like to stay around the $2000/mo range and would entertain a lease/purchase option because we will be buying a condo about a year from now.

We talk a lot here about helping people who help themselves...

the easiest way to help Jan stay alive long enough to get a new kidney is to send business her way.

and the bonus?

she gives a great massage.

If money wasn't too tight, I'd jump on this good deal!

I've had one professional massage in my life. from JanS. it was great and worth every penny. even my husband appreciated it and he didn't even get a massage. he was amazed that he could actually tell (with his own hands) that my shoulders weren't as tense as they usually are. he was so impressed by my good mood that he said I should go back.....

So glad to hear I am not alone wanting people to be aware and sport reflective gear at night. I nearly hit someone, at very low speed, on capitol hill one black and stormy night. He was wearing black clothing AND had covered his top half with a black umbrella. It started me thinking that all umbrellas should come with reflective stripes.

Ok. Maybe I am missing the very obvious here as to why this post has not been deleted by WSB. Perhaps they haven't noticed it or I am off-base. Any notion of a deal or discount or free service offered seems absent to my eye and isn't that required for this specific category? Others' promotions of nonlocal national vendors similarly violating WSB's rules have been deleted from here. Well, I don't get it, but really... I don't have to I guess. :)

wren, i don't think s&s is open weekends.

and i'll warn you: retroreflective gear can be pretty pricey. the higher the visibility, the more expensive. be prepared to pay $35 - $50 for a decent vest that's retroreflective to 1000 feet at night, which is the DOT flagger's standard.

the day-glo helps, but it's those retroreflective stripes that make the difference.

and

Just my opinion, but your other posts which you dug up old requests for gas installation services in order to plug your own peripherally associated duct cleaning business might be construed as an excessively spammish attempt to get some free exposure. I think that's pretty tacky. I'll be calling another duct-cleaning biz when i need one.

For the best furnace install I recommend Mike Sullivan at Fremont Furnace. Mike has been in the gas furnace business for 30+ years and installs mainly Trane or American Standard furnaces. Prior to the installation I - NATIONAL AIR TECHNOLOGIES - usually clean to NADCA standards the ducting and dryer vents. You can read about me at http://www.natairtech.com and my cleaning at http://www.natairquality.com.

You can also try Whistle Workwear. They are at 3000 1st Ave South. It is just north of Spokane Street, just past the construction area. They just recently moved one building north of their previous location, which was right along the construction. They have lots of reflective and day glo stuff.

Wren, I was so excited to read that you want to wear something reflective. I have almost become nervous to drive at night, because so many wear dark colors, and step out in to traffic. I have a 5 year old son, and we do walk in the evening. He wears a blue strobe light on his jacket, and I wear a reflective vest, that I purchased for $15.00 at safety and supply. Raves to you!!

THANK YOU wren! For thinking of wearing something reflective while walking in the dark.
.
Last year there was a woman getting off the bus and crossing the street on 100th. I saw her on two separate occasions, dressed in dark clothing, but BOTH times was wearing a reflective belt that she had looped from one side of her neck to down around her waist.
.
WOW - did she ever stand out when my headlights caught the reflection - long before I noticed her.
.
I probably half scared her to death on the second time, when I came along beside her, rolled down my window and thanked her for wearing the reflective belt! I told her I wished everybody did.
.
Also, I have noticed many folks who will attach one of those RED bicyclist's strobe lights to their dog's collar. I have seen runners wearing them too. VERY effective!
.

Hi wren, I'd suggest:

Safety & Supply
5510 E Marginal Way S
Seattle
206-762-8500
Open M-F 9:00-5:00
Closed weekends.

Full disclosure; I've never shopped there, and don't know how their prices on the vests compare to other places, McLendon's used to sell them when I worked there, and likely still do, but Safety & Supply made a generous donation of rubber boots to Nickelsville: http://westseattleblog.com/forum/topic/rave-safety-and-supply-co-on-east-marginal

They even got very positive testimonials from WSB'ers that have purchased from them.
