“Trump-Proof Seattle” – District 1 Town Hall with Lisa Herbold.
Thursday, May 4th, 6-8pm. Doors open at 5:30.
There will be information tables and organizers present, so come early to chat! Program begins at 6pm sharp. Councilmember Lisa Herbold will be joining us.
The Trump-Proof Seattle campaign aims to bring a progressive income tax to Seattle, affecting only the wealthiest 5% of households. A tax of just 1.5% on income in excess of $250K would raise over $125M per year in Seattle. We can protect against Trump’s proposed budget cuts, challenge our state’s unjust tax system, and build a city where everyone and every community can thrive.
This Town Hall is organized by, and for, residents of District 1, but all are welcome to attend. The event is co-sponsored by the District 1 Neighborhood Action Council, the Transit Riders Union, 350 Seattle, and Puget Sound Advocates for Retirement Action.
Come to learn more about the campaign, meet the volunteers and organizations that are making it happen, & sign up to get involved!
