Chainsaw Carving Demo by Heidi Brown @ The Village Green Perennial Nursery
Jun 1 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Chainsaw Carving demo by Heidi Brown @ The Village Green Perennial Nursery

Heidi is one of the few female carvers and a Seattlelite. As a born recycler and DIYer it was only natural that after a couple trees went down in Heidi’s backyard that she decided to start a new hobby of turning stumps into new friends. She has been carving for a couple years and loves sharing her sculptures. Come take a seat in the shade of The Village Green’s trees and watch as Heidi carved a bear who can hold a pot, and a gnome. When she takes a break from carving, feel free to ask her questions.
Visit VillageGreenGarden.com for examples of her work.

June 1st Demo from 10:00-4:00, with closing at 6:00.
On 26th Ave SW, just south of Westwood Village.
Free street parking.

Sundays at 9:30 am at Walt Hundley field

Hi WSUFF,

Spring is upon us. And I’ve three updates.

First, we’ll be meeting a half hour earlier on Sundays at 9:30 am at Walt Hundley field to squeeze in more play before baseball teams take the field.

Second, pass the word around, we need more women to come out on Sundays to practice for coed summer league team. It will be a fun time. Invite you female ultimate friends, wives, moms, daughters, aunts, sisters, grandmothers, nieces and cousins.

And we are also taking suggestions for the summer coed team names. Talk to Perry.

Thirdly, I’ve heard interest from folks to restart a weekday evening pickup game for the summer. Let me know via email or on the field of your interest.

Keep on swinging and hucking,

Timothy Lowry

WSUFF Ultimate Family Frisbee @ Walt Hundley Playfield
Jun 18 @ 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

West Seattle Ultimate Family Frisbee – All Ages

We do it all wrong with flattering sound systems, songs that you actually want to sing but can’t find anywhere, and magical song slips that self destruct if “grease megamix” is written on them.”

Oh, did we mention the food is as good as the drinks? Serious, this place is great. See you soon!

And we are also taking suggestions for the summer coed team names. Talk to Perry.

Thirdly, I’ve heard interest from folks to restart a weekday evening pickup game for the summer. Let me know via email or on the field of your interest.
