Free drop-in Enrichment Classes for 0-5-year-olds @ Neighborhood House High Point
May 24 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Join this group of parents, caregivers and children ages 0-5 for free enrichment classes every Wednesday at Neighborhood House in the Family Center.

On the 1st and 3rd Wednesday, we offer art classes for children to experiment with color and materials, with a focus on process and expose to encourage in children a desire to create. Art starts at 10:00. Stay to play

On the 2nd Wednesday, Nathalie, High Point Children’s Librarian, hosts story time with books and songs. Story time runs from 10:15-10:45. Stay to play.

On the 4th Wednesday, join us for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) themed activities. In March, children will be planting seeds to take home and watch grow.

All programs offered through the Family Center at Neighborhood House High Point are free and open to anyone who wishes to attend

West Seattle 4th of July Kids’ Parade @ Sunset SW to Hamilton Viewpoint Park

Start decorating your scooters, strollers, and trikes right now! The West Seattle Kids 4th of July Parade starts at 10:00 am on the corner of 44th and Sunset. Walk the parade route, then enjoy traditional games and treats at Hamilton Viewpoint Park. Concessions will be provided by the Admiral Neighborhood Association.

The parade starts at the intersection of 44th & Sunset (in front of 1137 Sunset Ave SW). The parade is about a ½ mile walk through the neighborhood, crossing California Ave SW, and ending at Hamilton Viewpoint Park. Kids are encouraged to dress up and decorate strollers, scooters, wagons, and bikes. There will be fun old-fashioned games at Hamilton Park (3-legged race, wheelbarrow races, and gunnysack races), weather permitting.

Eastridge Church will be holding our VBS Daycamps for kids, 4 y/o to 5th grade! We’ll be learning about how God made each of us in HIS image and unique at the same time! What an incredible way to show off God’s power by using the special way He made us to make a difference! Everyone is welcome!!

With the growth of Plant for the Planet (a youth-led climate organization) in Seattle and enough Climate Justice Ambassadors in the South, we have officially kicked off our monthly West Seattle meetings. Every 3rd Friday we’ll meet at 7 PM at the Puget Ridge Co-housing Common House. West Seattle Grand Parade @ Admiral to Alaska Junctions down California SW

The West Seattle Grand Parade, occurring annually since 1935, is hosted by the West Seattle Rotary Service Foundation and is one of the oldest and most beloved community events in the Seattle area. The West Seattle Grand Parade includes participants from the Hi-Yu royalty and celebrates the diverse community and participants of the greater Seattle area. It is a proud member of the Seafair family of events and includes all of the pirates, clowns, marching bands, drill teams, floats, pageantry and excitement that leads up to the Seafair Torchlight Parade the following weekend.

West Seattle Grand Parade is produced by the West Seattle Rotary Service Foundation and will be held on Saturday, July 22 at 11:00 am. The parade begins at California SW and SW Admiral Way, and continues down California SW to finish at SW Edmunds.

With the growth of Plant for the Planet (a youth-led climate organization) in Seattle and enough Climate Justice Ambassadors in the South, we have officially kicked off our monthly West Seattle meetings. Every 3rd Friday we’ll meet at 7 PM at the Puget Ridge Co-housing Common House. Plant for the Planet West Seattle meetings @ Puget Ridge Cohousing

With the growth of Plant for the Planet (a youth-led climate organization) in Seattle and enough Climate Justice Ambassadors in the South, we have officially kicked off our monthly West Seattle meetings. Every 3rd Friday we’ll meet at 7 PM at the Puget Ridge Co-housing Common House. Plant for the Planet West Seattle meetings @ Puget Ridge Cohousing

With the growth of Plant for the Planet (a youth-led climate organization) in Seattle and enough Climate Justice Ambassadors in the South, we have officially kicked off our monthly West Seattle meetings. Every 3rd Friday we’ll meet at 7 PM at the Puget Ridge Co-housing Common House. Children who would like to be active to get our planet back to a stable climate and their parents are always welcome to join. Please RSVP by email – pftp-west-seattle@googlegroups.com
