Please join us for our next JuNO meeting on Tuesday, September 19th in the Nucor Room at the Senior Center from 6:30 – 8:00pm. We have a packed agenda including representatives from both SDOT and the Parks Department to talk about parking and parks!

SDOT – Parking Study – Jonathan Williams & Ruth Harper will discuss WS Junction parking study underway for commercial & residential areas in the Urban Village and potential outcomes. Q&A to follow presentation.

Parks – New 40th Ave SW Park – Karimah Edwards & Susanne Rockwell will discuss timeline and community input for the landbanked site on 40th Ave SW between Edmunds & Alaska Ave SW.*

JuNO Land Use Committee will give an update on the status of MHA/HALA. . . as we patiently await the Final Environmental Impact Statement and Final Maps to be published.

WSJA – Neighborhood Grant – Lora Swift will discuss opportunities to volunteer and give input for a neighborhood grant awarded to the WS Junction Association.

Democracy Vouchers – Janine Rees – Can’t find your democracy vouchers but still want to donate to the City Council race? Janine can help with replacement vouchers. And as a reminder, JuNO & JLUC has endorsed Pat Murakami for at large Position 9. Pat hopes to prioritize a more inclusive neighborhood planning process.
