HPIC has a wine and food pairing class this Sunday from 6-9 PM that we want the West Seattle community to know about. Reggie Daigneault, a Master Sommelier, and Jennifer Asmundson, a classically trained chef (Le Cordon Bleu), will be collaborating to present a five course meal with wine tasting at each course. Here is the introduction and the menu:
Join Chef Jennifer of Seattle Ginger and Sommelier Reggie at a magnificent food and wine extravaganza – this “class“ is focused on learning – but in a fun way! Chef Jennifer will demo some great recipes for holiday cooking, including shortcuts for prep in holiday meals. Reggie will illuminate you on the great choices in wine and why the match up works. Lots of great ideas for wine gifts, wine pairing and “other” beverage choices to play with during the holidays.
$40 per person, includes:

🍁 Pumpkin Spice Brie with Port Cranberry Sauce
🍁 Smoked Salmon Crudite – cucumber slice with herbed goat cheese, lox and fresh dill
🍁 Pumpkin Soup with crème fresh & sage oil
🍁 Turkey with a braised orange & rosemary, maple sausage stuffing, and roasted parsnips with craisins
🍁 Pumpkin or Sweet Potato Pie with Bruleed top
All courses paired with two wines, including bubbles when you arrive and sherry to end the meal.
