West Seattle Community Orchestras invites you to attend a fun concert presented by our “entry-level” orchestra and our brand new percussion ensemble.

Led by Rachel Nesvig, the Debut Orchestra’s program includes favorites spanning more than 300 years! From the far-distant past are the classic “Finale from Beethoven’s Fifth” and “Rosamunde Overture,” and from the not-so-distant past you’ll hear “Do Wah Diddy Diddy” and “Highlights from the Wizard of Oz.” Oh! Warm up your pipes, as you’ll get a chance to sing along with “Jingle Bell Rock”!

The newly formed percussion ensemble, led by Liz Harris Scruggs, will top off the program with “Multitasker” by Ralph Hicks and “Stormbreak” by Jim Casella.

The concert is FREE! Donations are gratefully appreciated. They help enable student musicians’ participation in this and our other orchestras and classes at no charge.

Again, that’s Tuesday, December 5, at 6:00 p.m. in the Chief Sealth International High School auditorium, 2600 SW Thistle Street. Find more info at www.WSCOrchestras.org.
