The community is invited to play “Division,” a new video game made by teens at a Library gaming workshop, at a launch party from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm Monday, Dec. 14 at the High Point Branch Library.

At the launch party, the teen game designers will introduce and promote their video game. Tablets will be available at the launch party for everyone to use, and the game will be available for play through the free downloadable app at Taleblazer.org.

These High Point-area teens have recently completed coding their first mobile video game at a Library workshop, where they spent five weeks learning how to make a mobile game that anyone can play on a smartphone or tablet. During the workshop, the teens discovered what’s in their neighborhood and crafted stories about it. Using those stories, the teens created a location-based mobile video game using TaleBlazer, MIT’s augmented reality software platform.

Library events are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required. Free parking is available in the branch parking lot.

For more information, call the Library at 206-684-7454.
