With music described as “gritty and soulful, raucous and beautiful,” Seattle singer-songwriter Shelby Earl has garnered praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, Paste Magazine, NPR, KEXP, No Depression, American Songwriter and many more, including Ben Gibbard, who says she “has the most heartbreakingly beautiful voice in Seattle.” Earl’s new album, The Man Who Made Himself A Name (out 3/10), is her third, following her 2011 debut, Burn The Boats (produced by John Roderick of the Long Winters) and 2013’s Swift Arrows (produced by Damian Jurado). Produced by Martin Feveyear (Mark Lanegan, Brandi Carlile), The Man Who Made Himself A Name “is the sound of an artist who, having lived and chronicled some catastrophically hard times, found herself on the other side feeling happier, healthier, healed—and making music that sounded like it.”
We’re excited to welcome Shelby Earl to Easy Street for a live sneak preview of her new songs on March 9th at 7 pm! We will have the new record on sale at the event! Free and all ages, see you there!
