See Art / Make Art: Miniature Basket Weaving With Lene Sangster
10:30 am – 12:30 pm on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 @ Southwest Branch Library.
Drop-in miniature basket art project led by Seattle artist and educator Lene Sangster. This workshop is intended for ages 7-adult and is ideal for multi age groups.
We will be weaving a miniature basket out of every day, inexpensive materials. The participants will learn the basic elements of weaving. The goal of this workshop is to make a miniature basket and also give the participant knowledge enough that they can continue weaving at home. We will be using a variety of materials and the project can be modified for various age groups. At the end of this art class, you will take home your miniature basket.
The See Art/Make Art series is part of the 26th Annual Southwest Artist Showcase, a non-juried, nonprofit exhibit.
