Innovative Acoustic Guitarists Headline Kenyon Hall Concert

Two acoustic guitar icons will make a rare Seattle visit with a concert at West Seattle’s Kenyon Hall beginning 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4.

Los Angeles-based session master Mark Goldenberg and Portland’s renowned jazz/blues player Eric Skye will team up in a magical blend of tone and rhythm.

Longtime friends, Skye and Goldenberg recently produced a heralded CD, “Artifact,” featuring all original compositions.

Goldenberg played in Jackson Browne’s band for 16 years, and has worked for Bonnie Raitt, Chris Isaak, Willie Nelson, and many others.

Skye is best known for his his brilliant 2012 release, “A Different Kind Of Blue,” an unparalleled interpretation of Miles Davis’ “Kind of Blue,” played entirely on solo guitar. That album made several guitar magazines’ Top 10 lists for the year and won accolades from the Miles Davis family.

Anyone who has played guitar or simply appreciates great music will love their teamwork and improvisational creativity. A Skye-Goldenberg concert is a memorable event that stays with its audience forever.

Concert and ticket information can be found at kenyonhall.org.
