On Thursday, June 2, beginning at 7 pm, Providence Mount St. Vincent will host the Landfill Harmonic Orchestra from Paraguay. Members of this orchestra live next to a giant landfill. Extreme poverty. Their instruments are made entirely out of garbage.

Music Director Favio Chavez’s vision is to provide access to hope and a better life for these young people. The orchestra is now known globally. Their music is the portal to a life beyond the cycle of poverty. The orchestra is the subject of a film www.landfillharmonicmovie.com.

The concert will be held in the PIGOTT CHAPEL ON THE 3RD FLOOR. All are welcome. Donations will be accepted and will go to support the orchestra.

The concert is sponsored by The Lift Every Voice Foundation, Providence Health & Services and Providence Mount St. Vincent.
