Learn about the Transition Movement at the West Seattle Greenlife Festival!
More and more, the future is in our own hands. We cannot count on corporations to move away from the fossil-fuel profits they enjoy.
Join West Seattle Meaningful Movies and Sustainable West Seattle at the Greenlife Festival on Saturday, July 15, at 8 pm.
We’ll have an outdoor showing, in Junction Plaza Park, of In Transition 2.0 — a story of resilience and hope in extraordinary times.
Bring your own lawn chair, cushion, or blanket. Bus numbers 50, 128, and 773, and the C line, will get you there.
(The Greenlife Festival–July 14, 15, and 16–is part of the West Seattle Summer Fest street fair.)
The movie is about the Transition Movement–a social experiment that’s responding to uncertain times with solutions and optimism. You’ll see how communities around the world are printing their own money, growing their own food, localizing their economies, and setting up community power stations. Here’s the trailer.
Following the film, you can stay for a discussion–and perhaps see the birth of a local Transition initiative!
