Wetland Restoration at Point Rediscovery for Duwamish Alive!
Saturday, October 21st, 10 am – 2 pm

Join DIRT Corps at Duwamish Alive!

For this year’s Fall Duwamish Alive! DIRT Corps is going to be restoring Point Rediscovery, a parcel of wetland which Hamm Creek runs through. Hamm Creek is a tributary of the Duwamish River, and very important for the return of salmon. Last year we saw salmon running up Hamm Creek, we hope to see them this year as well!

The Duwamish Alive! events have been engaging our community volunteers at multiple locations within the Duwamish Watershed since the first Earth Day event in 2006. In addition to direct restoration activities, volunteers also have the opportunity to learn about the importance of coastal habitats in general and of the Duwamish estuary specifically.

DIRT Corps will provide light snacks and coffee.
