Calligraphy: The Art of Lettering Wednesday, June 28, 2017, 2:30 – 4pm @ Southwest Branch. Registration is required.

Practice basic strokes of calligraphy guided by different fonts (Italian, Roman, and Gothic) using calligraphy markers and pens with local teaching artist, Amaranta Ibarra-Sandys. Registration is required.

Explore a variety of inks, such as walnut ink and India ink, while writing with a calligraphy pen and create a mixed media bookmark with your favorite poem, verse or quote. For ages 9-12.

This program is part of the Library’s 2017 Summer of Learning program, Blast Off to Space! The Library is offering hundreds of free programs and activities for children and teens to keep youth engaged in reading and learning all summer long.
Notes Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome.
