Bystander Intervention Workshop. Help Make Your Neighborhood Hate-Free at Admiral United Church of Christ, at 4320 Hill Street, Seattle, WA 98116 on November 12 from 2-3:30.

Anti-Hate Alaska Junction, a new grassroots organization, presents Bystander Training, which uses interactive techniques to help attendees learn how to intervene in an aggressive or harassing interaction – safely protecting the target while not escalating the perpetrator.

Led by Reverend Andrew Conley-Holcom, this experience will increase your confidence about intervening when needed. You will learn to bypass your “Fight or Flight” reaction and instead bring calm and de-escalation skills if you witness a threatening interaction.

The training is free and donations will be accepted.

Email antihate3@gmail.com to register with your name, neighborhood and phone number. First come first served.

Everyone wants to live in a hate-free neighborhood. Do what you can to make it happen!
