The Admiral Neighborhood Association now meets every other month, 6:30 pm, second Tuesdays. For March 2018:
SUB POP RECORDS 30TH ANNIVERSARY SUMMER PARTY IN ALKI
SOUND TRANSIT 3 IN WEST SEATTLE
NEW TIME – 6:30 pm Tuesday, March 13, 2018
As part of their outreach campaign, the CEO and other representatives from legendary Sub Pop Records (as in Nirvana’s first record company) will be our featured speakers to outline their plans for their soon to be legendary free 30th Anniversary Party in Alki on Saturday, August 13. This day long event (noon-10pm) will feature 4-stages, food trucks, beer gardens, merchandise booths, non-profit tables, and a family area with kid attractions. Because the event will require street closures, and other considerations of interest to area residents, representatives will be available to describe area impacts, and answer questions of Admiral & West Seattle residents.
Larry Wymer will provide an overview of the ‘Sound Transit 3’ Light Rail project in West Seattle, including 24 artistic renderings of what the proposed line will look like throughout its proposed ‘representative alignment’ within West Seattle, with suggestions proposed by the Junction Neighborhood organization (JuNO) to move proposed elevated track underground.
The ANA meets at The Sanctuary at Admiral, at 2656 42nd Ave SW. We are currently holding bi-monthly meetings the 2nd Tuesday of Jan-Mar-May-July-Sep-Nov from 6:30-8:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
