On February 3rd, at about 5:35 P.M., a Southwest Precinct officer came across a small brown goat that was wandering around the neighborhood at 32nd Avenue Southwest and Southwest Elmgrove Street. Unable to locate the owner, officers at the Southwest Precinct contacted the West Seattle Blog (http://westseattleblog.com/blog/) and sent photos of the goat in hopes of spreading the word through the West Seattle community. The pictures and story of the lost goat were immediately posted and a friend of the goat’s owner saw the story and contacted the owner. The goat, later identified as Buddy, was reunited with his owner within 58 minutes of his run-in with the officer. The officers had good time with this call and it appears that Buddy enjoyed his visit to the precinct as well! The Southwest Precinct really would like to thank the efforts of the West Seattle Blog in getting the message out to the community so quickly. It was great to see how quickly this call was resolved.
