West Seattle crime watch: Car vandalism

Out of the inbox:

My husband just went out this morning to find a car that was parked in front of our house on Charlestown egged (near 53rd). It must have happened sometime yesterday or, I’m guessing, last night. I know you guys have covered vandalism and stuff like this in the past, so I thought I’d pass the information along to you and see if others have experienced the same thing. It seems kind of random, as we don’t have kids and pretty much keep to ourselves. The car was a rental and had California plates.

As always, a reminder to everyone – don’t hesitate to call police when you see or hear something suspicious, and of course when you believe a crime has been (or is being) committed. In addition to 911, there’s a non-emergency line at 206/625-5011.

A couple of weeks ago we had a rental car (don’t remember what sort of plates it had) that was egged in the 5600 block of 49th SW. Does someone have it out for rental cars?

    So the car was vandalized?

    (I’ll try this again)

I noticed some eggs thrown on the sidewalk on 41 SW in the 5000 block today while walking my dog. Don’t know if it’s related and don’t know if any cars got hit – just some eggs on the sidewalk – which is unusual.

Sorry Kathy! I seeemed to have kept missing the “egged” part…looks like I should have put my glasses on.

A few weeks ago several cars (mine included) were egged on Adams (east of Avalon two blocks north of the Genesee Hill – near the All Star Fitness). My car has WA plates, so it doesn’t appear that ours were a part of any out-of-state ill will :) Just general ill will, I suppose.

Sorry, comment time is over.
