That beaver pond is very, very cool and is one of the many gems along the Longfellow Creek Legacy Trail.

Beaver pond is super cool! i forget exactly where on the trail it is… maybe opposite the temp. Chief Sealth HS in Boren building on delridge. good luck-it is a treasure! google Longfellow Legacy Trail and there may be maps that you can download.

It is, but a bit south of upRidge, more like across from the Sealth/Boren parking lot – I got a tour from Mike Arizona, steward for the natural area there, while doing a little story before one of the monthly work parties, some months back — I will add the link here as soon as I get a sec to go find it, still in outage coverage – TR

Hi all, the beaver ponds are right across the street from Chief Sealth High School on Delridge Way SW. There are 3 different dams the beavers have created. Go to http://www.longfellowcreek.org to get more information on Longfellow Creek and the restoration work going on.

you can access the trail on 25th ave s it basically dead ends at the opening to the trail. easier than parking on Delridge.

k2 – what’s “pfft” about the quality? Just curious, really. They have all the usual bells and whistles and didn’t take the cheapest route. Wood floors, wood cabinets, slab granite countertops, etc. The interiors look pretty nice to me. (The location, on the other hand…. a little too busy for my taste.)
