The Rolling Retreads were formed in 2009 by parents of Garfield High School jazz musicians, with the goal of hosting an exciting live-music event to raise funds for the jazz program. This is the fifth straight year that the band has performed hits of the 50s, 60s, and 70s to enthusiastic audiences at these benefit dance parties.

The guest lineup features many talented GHS alumni, including:
. Jacob Zimmerman ’04 (sax)
. Noah Wentzel ’09 (trumpet)
. Ben Hamaji ’09 (piano)

Guest vocalists include Arni Adler (former GHS jazz mom and a founding member of Seattle’s popular folk/pop trio Uncle Bonsai) and Julia Furukawa ’16 of the GHS Jazz Choir. Also appearing, a very special guest drummer!
