MARIJUANA RETAIL ZONES – COMMENTS REQUESTED BY CITY COUNCIL
In December, the City Council took up the topic of adjusting where marijuana shops could located, discussing things like how far apart they should be and how close to parks, schools etc. Several members of Council were concerned that the legislation was moving through without getting input from the communities that would be affected by changes of
the rules. We bring this to your attention in that Morgan Junction would be affected. If you go to the following links, you can see that Morgan Junction goes from having no land zoned for a retail shop to having several blocks becoming available. If you have comments on this, either positive, negative or you want more information, this public notice
tells you how to submit comments. COMMENTS ARE DUE BY JANUARY 11, 2016

There is some affordable low-income housing in this Seattle area — at least, if you are 55 years old or older and are also disabled, or, if you are 61 years of age or older than that. In addition to this, there is also some affordable low-income housing for people of any age or ages. Contact some of these places directly and, as well, also contact the Seattle Housing Authority, the King County Housing Authority (these are two, different housing authority offices), or, also different housing authority offices for different localities — such as, for example, the Tacoma Housing Authority, the Pierce County Housing Authority and so-on and so-forth. For the older people of our community, the SHAG (Senior Housing Assistance Group) are really quite nice places to live and SHAG has something like 28 different housing properties here in western Washington state, from Olympia, Washington to Bellingham, Washington.
