West Seattle Community Garage Sale Day ’09: Because you asked

Maybe it’s the sunshine. We have received two phone calls in the past hour or so inquiring about this. So maybe we shouldn’t wait any longer for a reminder: Yes, WSB **is** sponsoring the fifth annual West Seattle Community Garage Sale Day this year — our second year sponsoring the event, which was created by the late, great nonprofit Megawatt. It’ll be on Saturday, May 9th. Is there ever a chance of having a common location where want-to-be garage sellers could set up sa table on this day? My home is really not in a good location for a garage/yard sale.

If not, is anyone willing to let me set up an area at their sale location? More stuff generally = better traffic . . .

I could be wrong, but I think that C&P Coffee on California did that last year. I think that you could bring things to their location and sell your stuff there.

C&P and Hotwire were two such locations. Too soon to say how things will work this year, but we just wanted to get the word out that yes, it is happening, if anyone doubted … since for some reason we got two calls in one day!

I have to admit, that this was pretty impressive last year! I will definitely give it more attention this time around… and hopefully pick up some good deals!
