“The Workshop”, with Dave Erickson on saxophone, Trevor Pelletier on bass, and Charlotte Dike at the piano, is named after Ev Stern’s Jazz Workshop, where this young and dynamic trio coalesced in Seattle. Each player brings a widely different background to the group’s sound, from Dave’s secret talent on vocals, to Trevor’s lifelong passion for Mingus, to Charlotte’s illustrious classical background. The blend of these players provides a fresh and eclectic interpretation of music rooted in jazz tradition.
