Announced by the college, which confirms this IS open to the public if you want to go watch:

South Seattle Community College will host 60 high school students from around the state on Friday, April 13, 2012, as they demonstrate their knowledge and compete for top honors in the SkillsUSA Washington state championships.

Competitors will be on the college campus from 8 am to 1 pm, putting their knowledge and skills to the test in four hands-on competitions: automotive maintenance technology, automotive refinishing technology, automotive service technology, and collision repair.

The competitions are part of the SkillsUSA Washington State Leadership and Skills Conference taking place April 12-14 in Renton. Nearly 1,000 Washington state students will be competing for state championships in over 60 technical and leadership contests at a dozen locations.

Competitors are members of SkillsUSA, a national leadership organization of over 325,000 members. These students are among the top 2% of skilled and technical students throughout our state and the US.
