It’s estimated that up to 80% of all marine debris originates from land. You can make a difference. Do your part to help keep marine life safe by removing trash from Alki Beach and the surrounding sidewalks and street. Before volunteers disperse to clean up the beach, there will be a brief talk on the devastating impact of trash and marine debris on wildlife. This year, Seattle Parks is unable to provide cleanup materials, so please bring your own gloves and trash “pluckers”. Garbage bags will be distributed at the check-in table.

When: Saturday, June 4 2016, 10 am–12 pm
Where: Alki Beach, West Seattle (assemble at Alki’s Statue of Liberty plaza, 61st Ave SW and Alki Ave SW)
