New Year’s Eve event at the Duwamish Longhouse:
An alternative to bass thumping parties and drugs and alcohol, you are invited to a more ceremonial approach to bringing in the New Year. We will have singers and dancers from many tribal nations, as well as artists from around the world. Native, Indigenous, First Nations, and Non-Native peoples are welcomed. Music, dancing, prayer, and more! We are in the planning stages of this event, details soon to follow. Everyone welcome to plan, create, and participate. No alcohol, no drugs event.
Entry: $10-20 sliding scale
Potluck!!! A wonderful offering from each person to our community. Note our system starting with the first letter of your last name.
If the first letter of your last name starts with an A-H: Please bring something to drink and cups.
If the first letter of your last name starts with an I-R: Please bring a main dish to eat, clearly labelled, and napkins or paper towels.
If the first letter of your last name starts with S-Z: Please bring both sturdy plates and cutlery.

6pm-8pm Community potluck
8pm- 11:55pm Native performances
11:55-12pm Prayer
After midnight to 1am Dancing!
1am clean up (community help appreciated! ) and goodbyes
