RainWise will host a garden party on Saturday, January 24, at 10 am at the Southwest Library.
Rain Garden and Cistern informational gathering!
Saturday, January 24th from 10am-12 pm at the Southwest LibraryCelebrate winter at a festive rain garden party. Drink cocoa & coffee while eating pastries and dreaming about sunshine and gardening with your neighbors! Your yard can be a beautiful solution to keep Puget Sound clean!
RainWise is a rebate program offered by Seattle Public Utilities and King County Wastewater Treatment Division. It helps pay to install rain water cisterns and/or rain gardens on private properties in Seattle to reduce the polluted runoff going into the combined sewer system.
Saturday’s event will include a brief presentation about how you can protect Puget Sound with a RainWise project, hear from contractors, rain garden experts and neighbors who have completed the process. This is a great chance to learn all the details of the rebate, meet contractors ready to install the gardens and learn from neighbors who already have gardens!
